1. Who we are
The World of Greek Mythology (“we”, “us”) operates the podcast, blog, community and shop at worldofgreekmythology.com. For privacy questions contact help@worldofgreekmythology.com.
2. Information we collect
- Contact messages — name, email, category, message body you submit to reach us.
- Newsletter — email address and marketing consent timestamp.
- Account — email, display name, avatar choice, hashed password (managed by our authentication provider), and forum content you create.
- Analytics — anonymous page views, episode plays and downloads, tied to a session identifier only when you consent to analytics cookies.
- Purchases — order and subscription metadata is stored by our payment processor; we retain only the fields needed for support (customer id, plan, status).
3. Why we use it (lawful basis)
- To answer your messages — legitimate interest.
- To send the newsletter — your consent.
- To operate the community and account features — contract.
- To improve the site with anonymous analytics — your consent.
- To process purchases — contract and legal obligation.
4. Retention
- Contact messages — up to 24 months, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Newsletter — until you unsubscribe; unconfirmed sign-ups purged within 30 days.
- Account & forum content — until you delete your account.
- Analytics — aggregate for up to 13 months.
- Data-subject requests — kept for 24 months after resolution as legal proof.
5. Subprocessors
- Hosting, database, auth and storage — Lovable Cloud (Supabase infrastructure).
- Payments — Stripe.
- Email — Lovable email pipeline via a verified sender domain.
6. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)
You may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection at any time. California residents may also opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
Use the privacy request form or email help@worldofgreekmythology.com. We respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
7. Cookies & tracking
We use two categories of cookies: essential (login and security) and analytics (anonymous page views). You can review and change your choice at any time.
8. Security & children
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our platform providers. The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date reflects the latest version. Material changes will be announced on the home page or by email to subscribers.
